Christina's Art Collection

We hope that you will enjoy the art throughout the House and Studio. From owner Christina’s collection there are fabric pieces from Grayson Perry and Yayoi Kusama and etching by Norman Ackroyd RA, as well as beautiful, framed vintage silk scarves.

Christina trained for a BA Hons in Drawing and Painting and then as a teacher of Art and Design. As Art teacher at the local secondary school for many years and an avid sketcher and colour enthusiast, Christina has recently returned to painting in her waterside studio at home in the Bays of Harris. Some resulting works can be seen in the House and Studio and are available to purchase by request.

Bespoke furniture and scents

Much of the soft furnishing and upholstery has been custom made using our stash of fabrics from Margo Selby, Manuel Canovas, Bute Fabrics and Bluebell Gray.

Each season we create a new home scent using our own blend of essential oils to add a very subtle background ambience, reflecting the time of year on the island. If you like it, we will give you a bottle to take home to remind you of your time with us.
